We had a great watercolor class at Gypsy Muse Studio, we finished up our Fall leaves and pods, that we had started at the last class. As usual, the ladies did spectacular. We used wet on wet, layers, and ink to finish them out. Great job, don’t you think! Next Watercolor classes, Sunday October 7th, email me at sharen@gypsymuse studio.com if you would like to join us.
Had a couple folks finish up their roosters, what a great job.
What a great time we had on Sunday creating our Roosters! Some finished, some did not, but once again, the finished ones look fantastic and the works in progress will be beautiful. Next class Sunday September 9th, from 1 pm til 3pm. Email me at sharen@sharenchatterton.com if you are interested in joining in on a watercolor class.
What fun we have been having in our watercolor classes the last couple of Sundays. These ladies can paint, no matter what they say. We have been spending a lot of time on flowers, they are just so beautiful in my front and side yard. Cone flowers, sunflowers, day lilies, zinnias oh my! We also created an eight pane window using complimentary colors, turning cone flowers into sunflowers. We didn’t quit finish, but what a great start.
Sunday’s watercolor class was all about the clematis in my side yard. Every year this time, they give a spectacular show! The ladies did such a great job, although everyone did not finish, it is easy to see they will be beautiful when they are complete. Up coming classes:
April 15 10:45 til 12:45
April 15 1:00 til 3:00
If you are interested in attending email me at sharen@sharenchatterton.com
In my last watercolor class, we tackled one and two point perspective, throwing in a little on cast shadows and complementary colors. Everyone did a really great job and each created some very great illusions of three dimensional objects on a very one dimensional piece of paper. Looking forward to next Sundays class.
The love of watercolors, or maybe it’s just taking time out to be creative, is growing. We are now having a watercolor class every Sunday afternoon. Sunday Watercolor One has from 8 to 10 beautiful ladies in it and we are beginning to fill the Sunday Watercolor Two class, with 6 showing up for the first class this past Sunday. What a creative group in both classes. We practiced with washes, flat, graded and variegated, then applied some of these techniques to produce a study of leaves in Sunday Watercolor One. In the Sunday Watercolor Two class, we used salt and variegated washes to produce the stained glass trees. If you are interested in joining one of the classes, email me at sharen@sharenchatterton.com.
Sorry Pam, I don’t know how, but I missed getting a photo of your work, will catch it next time.
