Although this piece is a step away from my classic bright colors, it is still very organic and reveals the beauty of not only the hydrangea, done in white with cerulean blue shading, but the green and brown stems intermingled in the glass bowl. I loved the way the vines were arranged in the bowl, it was so organic. The hydrangea of coarse are always beautiful, but the stems and vines were just captivating to me. I’m calling it “Flowers for Finley”, after all, the inspiration came from flowers that were sent in congratulations of the birth of my grandson, Finley.
The piece is created in acrylics on a 24″ x 30″ x 1.5″, gallery wrapped canvas, coated with an acrylic varnish for posterity.
